Product Information and Availability

How will I know if my item is in stock?

If a product is in stock you will see the "In Stock" check mark on the top section of the product's information page. Products that are in stock usually require 1-2 business days processing time before they are shipped out. If a product requires more processing, it will be specified on their item description page.

Backordered and Out of Stock Items

Products that are in stock will have an "In Stock" check mark on the top section of their information page.


Out of Stock Items

When a product goes out of stock a "Backorder" button will show in place of the "Add to Cart" button. The in stock check mark will be replaced with the time frame we expect the item to return to stock. To ensure prompt delivery, products marked "Out of Stock" are not available for purchase.


Back ordered items in saved Shopping cart

If an item in your cart is unavailable upon your return, it will show as "Back Ordered" in the Saved Cart. Upon clicking on "Checkout with This Cart", these back ordered items will be automatically removed from your purchase.


Backorder Notification

If an item in your order is unexpectedly backordered, you will receive notification within 1-2 business days of the date you placed the order. If we expect the item to remain out of stock for more than two weeks, we will automatically cancel the item from your order and inform you of this via email. If you wish to cancel the backordered item from your order, follow the instructions included in the email.


"Back in Stock" Alert Service

Customers wishing to receive notice when the item is in-stock, can do so through our "Back in Stock Alert", available within the product page. The email address you provide will only be used for this alert and for no other purpose.


Refunding Cancelled Backorder Items

All items in your order are charged to your credit card at the same time. If you cancel a backordered item from your shipment, we will credit your card for the amount of that item. It generally takes between 3-5 business days for the credit to be processed. If you pay by cashier's check or money order we will mail a refund check to your billing address.

We display all the information we have for each product listed on our site. ZipZoomfly does not provide testing, technical support, or technical sales assistance.

Hard Drive General and Warranty Information

Most hard drives sold by ZipZoomfly are bare drives: sold with few or no accessories, package inserts or extra software, and are shipped with plain packaging. This is designed to give you the best price on these items. All warranties listed for hard drives take effect from the date the drive is first manufactured. The manufacturing date is located on the physical drive itself. A product's individual warranty information is also posted on their item page.

Use your favorite search engine and type in the name of the product. Decide if you are looking for technical guidance or how-to information, customer reviews or other information such as warranty or usability, and include those terms in your search.

Many community user groups and individuals have already posted a vast amount of helpful data on almost all technological subjects.

Customer and Enthusiast Forums

If you have difficulty finding preexisting answers through FAQs or blogs, you may want to locate a forum group related to your topic. Many forum posters are happy to share their experiences and expertise when it comes to technology, as long as you have looked to see if the information has already been posted. Oftentimes, you will receive personal responses to your questions or a link to the right page or resource. Tomshardware.com and Hardwarecentral.com are two active forum communities you could visit.
